The summer months are approaching but winter has taken its toll on our homes. It is time to get busy checking that all your plumbing has not been affected by the recent storms and sub-zero temperatures.
Freezing pipes can often be frozen for some time and the thawing of spring can draw attention to any leaks or bursts that may need attending to. Checking your home for any condensation or wet spots and clearing the guttering of debris should be a top priority. This may not be a fun job but not doing it causes mould which is even less fun to live with. It could also be an indicator that there is a leak in your pipework that may need addressing. Going through and checking all the valves to ensure they are not seized or rusted and making sure your outside tap is working properly can also draw attention to any issues that may be lurking.
